EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY

Federal Immigration and Naturalization laws require that employers hire only citizens and nationals of the United States and lawfully authorized alien workers. Compliance with the law requires completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form which is used to verify identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired at the University.

EMPLOYMENT OF RELATIVES

The employment of related persons is permitted. However, such employment shall not involve a conflict of interest, including but not limited to, participation by the relative in making recommendations or decisions specifically affecting the appointment, retention, work assignments, evaluation, promotion, demotion, or salary of the related person.

WORK/OFFICE HOURS

The normal operating, business hours of the University are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted in any University facility, including but not limited to classrooms, faculty offices, administrative offices, dining facilities, break rooms, press boxes, restrooms, and student residential facilities. Moreover, no part of, nor room within, any University building may be designated as a “smoking area.”

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

The University recognizes the right of employees to express their complaints and to seek resolution concerning disagreements arising from working relationships, working conditions, employment practices or differences in interpretation of policy that might arise between the University and its employees.
